the 6 identical pieces have to form an interlocking octahedron ; the design reminds in the first moment of some Stewart Coffin designs like 4 piece pyramid and octahedral cluster, but the similarity ends with the view of the piece; this puzzle was enthusiasticly dicussed in a puzzle designer forum in the internet (have a look at: http://renegadepuzzlers.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=238&highlight=assemble ) and now it is first time produced
