International Toy Fair 2007 Nurmeberg

just like in the last 7 years a meeting was held during the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg 2007 for puzzledesigners-producers-dealers-journalists and puzzleinterested people; the puzzleparty was organized in the Games Cafe of the German Games Archive Marburg. Goal of that meeting was an informative exchange of ideas over the news and new products in the puzzle scenery; everybody of the invited people could show and demonstrate new items, prototypes and coming projects; participants of 8 nations accepted the invitation by Bernhard Schweitzer ( Germany ) and there happened fantastic shows of different designers: Markus Goetz ( Germany ) a well known designer demonstrated his new Prisgon-Puzzle, a hexagon packing problems with different moves to solve it; Ingo Uhl ( Germany) showed the shell-cube, a massive plastic cube surrounded by 8 different pieces; Tim Rowett (UK) enjoyed with different gadgets of the world new recently found by him; Dieter Junker ( Germany ) enchanted the audiance with his flyping-games; he demonstrated the exchanges of cube into tetraeders or octaeders with an extreme skilfulness; his newest design in that series was a cube surrounded by a cubeformed shell; Bernhard Schweitzer demonstrated the newest puzzledesigns by Stewart Coffin, James Allwright and a brand new belgian designer Robrecht Louage and showed some other prototypes; highlight of the meeting was a retired woodworker of Nuremberg, Dieter Winge with his optical illusions of Escher-Paulsen-Penrose and his own designs, made as wooden marquetry; items of his production will be showed and offered in future via this website. All in all there was a fantastic possibility to meet puzzlefriends discussing the news of the puzzlescenery. (the picture shows the demonstration of the flyping-games by Dieter Junker)
